GP Racing sums up almost 500 Km of Testing in Valencia

A sunny day welcomed the Venetian Team GP Racing in Valencia yesterday (Wednesday April 14th) for a test session in sight of the first race of the Superfund Euro 3000 Series on May 2, in Brno.

The great weather conditions and the team's excellent organization allowed Fabrizio Del Monte and Maxime Hodencq to sum up a great number of km (around 200 km for the European vice champion Del Monte and around 260 km for the young Belgian driver) that are fundamental to help them prepare for the first round of the championship.

Tancredi Pagiaro, Team Manager

"It was a perfect test session. We had a very intense itinerary and we were able to complete it all without any problems.

We just had a minor physical inconvenience with Fabrizio who had a shoulder ache after hitting a kerb head on. To be precautious, we decided not to let him run the last few laps. For this reason, he ran less km than Maxime.

This test session benefited our young driver Maxime very much. He ran the distance of almost 2 races and proved his technical and physical progress. We are now going to get ready for the first race of the season in Brno on May 2nd.Brno has replaced the Pergusa round of the series."

Fabrizio Del Monte

"When a test session goes smoothly, one can't help but be optimistic about the first race of the season. Like Tancredi mentioned, I chose to stop testing mid-afternoon because of a minor shoulder ache but this isn't a serious matter. The team and I agreed not to take any risks and not to do the last few laps scheduled." Best time: 1'24''82"

Maxime Hodencq

"This test highlighted my physical and technical progress. I would like to thank the engineer Giorgio Breda whose advice helps me improve day after day. I could have lowered my time but during my best laps, I often found traffic and a red flag. I summed up a lot of km and this is very important.

Best Time: 1'25''79
