A bitter start for the Euro 3000 series team GP Racing In Nurburgring

GP Racing's debut race of the season in the Euro 3000 series turned out to be a little bitter. Right from the start (at both the free practice session and the qualifications), the Venetian team proved to be the leader and conquered the pole position with Roman Rusinov . Unfortunately, things went wrong during the race: Rusinov's car stalled right before the start which forced him to start in last place while Fabrizio Del Monte had to retire due to a minor accident that he had with Babalus that led him off track.

Tancredi Pagiaro , Team Manager

"It's real pity! We were in the lead right from the start .From the free practice session to the qualifications and yet, we managed to gain very little from the race .Roman was the fastest throughout the whole weekend while Fabrizio had a good chance to get a podium position. In any case, the team worked well and this gives me a lot of faith for the next race"

Roman Rusinov

"I am of course not very happy with the start of the race. Unfortunately, I turned off the car by accident when I was on the starting grid and this error caused me to lose my pole position. I started in last place and was 40 seconds behind. I had to fight hard to get catch up to everyone else and to overtake my adversaries. Regardless of this, it was very important for me to finish the race and to get the first point of the season. Without a doubt, I have to thank the team for all the hard work they did during the winter test sessions. Thanks to them we conquered a well deserved pole position."

Fabrizio Del Monte

"I realized what a great job the team had done right from the first lap of the free practice session. Starting at the seventh position on the grid, I knew that I had to work really hard. The car was in perfect condition and this allowed me to gain two positions in very few laps. Unfortunately while I was fighting for the fourth place, the race ended prematurely for me when Babalus hit me. While trying to avoid being overtaken with all his might, the race car driver of the Famà team hit my car's rear and sent me of track."
