The last round of the Euro 3000 Series was held in Cagliari this weekend. It was once again a positive season for the Venetian team: GP Racing. Thanks to his fourth place win in this round, Fabrizio Del Monte took over Gianmaria Bruni's 2nd place in the driver's classification. This has officially made him the "vice champion" of this category! GP racing instead ranks third in the constructor's classification and therefore proves to be one of the top teams of the championship. GP Racing has only one regret for this round in Cagliari: Maxime Hodencq, who was involved in an accident at the start, was forced to retire.

Tancredi Magiaro, Team manager

Both Fabrizio and Maxime did well in Cagliari. Unfortunately our young driver from Belgium was involved in an accident that wasn't his fault. The race was interrupted but Hondencq wasn't able to restart again. His car was damaged beyond repair. It's a pity because he did really well all weekend. During the second session of the free practice, Maxime was in third place. Not bad for someone who is only 16 and who was able to manage our very demanding car. Fabrizio is instead a bet you can win with. Everyone said that his career was over last year but this season, he proved them wrong. All thanks to him and to the team. Our team has been one of the top teams or the past few years and distinguishes itself due to its qualified personnel and technical ability. It's not a coincidence that we are third in the constructor's classification. We now will start planning for next year with the fundamental help of our sponsors and technical partners. A new season I hope to be a part of, as a leader.

Fabrizio Del Monte

"On your mark, get set, go: the start was perfect, I immediately inherited a position but we had to start all over again because of De Pourtales spin that involved many cars. I started off well again the second time but soon after that I was hit by Siedler who sent me off track. Luckily I ended up on the asphalted part .I wasn't able to get beyond the fourth place for this very reason. It's however a good result that I don't want to throw away. This is the end of a fantastic season for me. After my first few races which were filled with uncertainty, my performance only got better and peaked when I splendidly won in Brno. I have become the European "vice champion". All this thanks to my persistence and the team's competence. After a forgettable 2002, GP Group had trust in my ability and had faith in me just like all of my sponsors. I think that I have paid them back for all of this, since I've also brought GP Racing on the podium of the constructor's classification. I played a leading role in this championship and if someone had told me that this would have happened, I wouldn't have believed it!"

Maxime Hodencq

"It's a real pity! After a positive qualifying session, I was involved in an accident at the start of this race. This accident unfortunately caused un- repairable damage to my car and therefore couldn't participate. I have some regrets but I'm still satisfied with my brief adventure in the Euro 3000 Series. I would like to thank the team who welcomed me with open arms and who taught me a lot!"
