Euro 3000 Series, Private test -- Pannonia, Hungary
Tuesday 01st April 2003
Temperature: 12/15 C
At the Pannonia Ring, Farfus signes the record of the track, Heidfeld forced to reduce his test day.
After the party of last Saturday 29th March, where Team Draco launched its 2003 season, Adriano and Nadia Morini's squad regained the track.
On the Hungarian circuit of Pannonia Ring Sven Heidfeld and Augusto Farfus continued the development programme started last 13th and 14th March at Vallelunga. The talented Augusto Farfus, who drives car n8, tested his Lola trying different aerodynamic and technical changes and focused his job in finding the right set-up. The 19 years old, that at the presentation of the Team said to be -- "motivated and ready to battle for the title" -- was immediately quick and signed a fastest time of 1'36"73 (more than 1 second quicker than R.Rusinov) that is also the new record of the track.
His team-mate Sven Heidfeld (car n7), that is improving test by test his feeling with this car (that is completely different from the F.3 that he was used to drive) could not exploit the test day. The German driver, in fact, could only complete 15 laps and was forced to stop due to a pain at his chest. Last week, during a training in go-kart, Sven had already suffered for this pain that is probably due to an old injury.
In Pannonia were also present Roman Rusinov and Fabrizio Del Monte with Team GP Racing.
Times, 01 April 2003:

3 - Fabrizio Del Monte (GP Racing) -- 1'38"04
4 - Sven Heidfeld (Draco) -- 1'39"99"
