KHAN ALSO WINS IN THE BARCELONA POURING RAIN

Mixed feelings for TP Formula in Barcelona, penultimate round of the Euroseries 3000. There is great satisfaction for the pole gained with a gap of 0"782 on the second and for the clear victory in race 1, but on the other side there is a great disappointment for the withdrawal in the second race where Khan was bumped into the back by Crestani, then penalized with a drive through. A penalty that nothing can do against the vanished opportunity to catch up with Prost at the top of the rankings. An accident that has ruined another superlative performance of the Anglo- Pakistani who, started from the eighth position, due to the reversed grid, was already fourth ready to attack Prost challenging him on the track for the championship leadership.

Despite this unlucky debacle Adam Khan in Barcelona has been again the driver to score more points, the only one to have obtained three victories during the season, leading the standings from the free practice and showing his talent even in the tricky conditions, caused by the heavy rain and the poor visibility that have characterized the entire Spanish weekend.

During qualifying the gap inflicted to the opponents has been astonishing with Prost 0"856 slower and Onidi delayed of 1"172, a performance thanks to which TP Formula confirms its supremacy in qualifying with 4 pole positions in 7 rounds with three different drivers (Rigon, Guimaraes and Khan).

In the first race the Anglo-Pakistani has immediately left the opponents behind and the won the race undisturbed despite the pouring rain, achieving the second place in the championship at only 5 points from Prost, joined in Spain by his father Alain. A distance that could even been reduced in the second race but instead rose to 10 points due to the accident occurred to Khan when, after just 10 laps, was already fighting with Piscopo for the third position.

Now with 19 points still to be assigned in the final round, the fight for the title is still open even if it will not be easy to win a championship that was unexpected in the beginning, given that Khan has joined the series at the fourth race only, a figure that confirms that he is the great protagonist of the second half of the season.
