Marco Bonanomi has been invited by Durango to GP2 tests. Juan Caceres, not present in Spain, will make his debut in Champ Car with Coyne team.
At Minardi he was replaced, at Montamelo track by Davide Rigon, brilliant young protagonist of Italian F.3, who has gained in the first session the eighth posistion. Moreover Alex Ciompi has moved from Vanni/Traini to Avelon, on the place of Oliver Martini, and Johnny Cecotto Jr has made his debut in the category with the "Coloni Motorsport F.3000 Rookies Team".
From Barcelona on, the Championship Organizer will let young promises taste the category driving, at favorable terms, one of its single-seat. The initiative, with different drivers, will be repeated also in Vallelunga and Misano, last two races of the season. And at his absolute debut, Cecotto Jr, who has already won in German F.3, has obtained the ninth position. The driver from Venezuel has declared at the end: " The car has surprised me for speed and grip in fast turns. I've really enjoied this first contact, and I thank Coloni Motorsport for this opportunity"
