Charouz-Gravity Racing will enter also Tomas Kostka into the qualifying in Brno

The maiden Auto GP season kicks off. After Thursday's testing sessions at Brno Circuit the programe continued on the same track on Friday with two free practices. With the cars of Charouz-Gravity Racing were Jan Charouz (CZE), Walter Grubmuller Jr. (AUT) and Adrien Tambay (FRA) on the track.

All Auto GP drivers completed colective testing at Brno Circuit on Thursday and there were 14 cars on the track. Drivers of Charouz-Gravity Racing were working on the set-up of their car and Walter Grubmuller and Adrien Tambay also gained more experience with Czech racing track. Jan Charouz was the fastest from Charouz-Gravity Racing drivers. Czech driver was second fastest in Thursday's second session and fifth overall (combined day times). Already on Thursday it was clear, how strong and competitive will be the competition in Auto GP this season. Eleventh drivers were in just eight tenths.

Two free practices were scheduled on Friday. Gravity-Charouz Racing was again working on the set- up of the cars, but the team was not really satisfied with the results today. Promptly after the free practice 2 drivers and engineers started to analyze data and try to find solution for Saturday's qualifying.

Jan Charouz, racing driver of Charouz-Gravity Racing: "We were quite happy after Thursday's testing sessions, but today we were not able to go so faster as our competitors did. But there were still free practices. We have to work hard, find some solution and hopefully we will be on better positions tomorrow after the qualifying."

Walter Grubmuller Jr., racing driver of Charouz-Gravity Racing: "I had problems with exhaust of my car in first practice, so I got out only for last few minutes and got only few laps. Results were not so good and I was not really happy with the car. So we have to analyze data and than we will know more."

Adrien Tambay, racing driver of Charouz-Gravity Racing: "Yesterday we made some small mistakes, but the potential was good at least for first three positions. We didn't change so much on the car today, but we became all three car slower. I don't know. We need to work very hard, because today there were not so much mistakes, except my small mistake in first session, but the results were little bit disapointing for us. We need to work with engineers all three guys, becuase I think, we are all fast, we don't make mistakes, all tight in gap. The thing is, that other are faster and we are missing something. We have to find solution."

Antonin Charouz, manager: "Maybe some A1GP efect. There are some teams in Auto GP, that were taking part also in World Cup of Motorsport. In A1GP we were losing some time compared with them, now we are closer. But there are many good drivers in AutoGP. It wouldn't be easy. We will see, what happens in qualifying tomorrow."

The qualifying practice starts tomorrow at 3:30pm. Charouz-Gravity Racing team will enter four cars in qualifying. Czech racing driver will be also behind the wheel of one yellow-black single-seater.
