Team Rahal's Danica Patrick claimed a top-ten finish in the Argent car in the CART Toyota Atlantic Championship event at the Molson Indy Toronto on Saturday. Patrick started ninth but ran off course on the second lap of the 35 lap race and lost nearly a half-lap to the leaders while she piloted her car back on course.

Having fallen to 14th Patrick drove a stellar race to claw her way back to tenth.

"I made a mistake and it cost us today," said Patrick. "The Argent car was better than it had been all weekend so I was able to make up some of the positions I had lost. Once we fell behind I just had to look at this race as a learning experience."

Patrick earned six points for the tenth place finish and is tied with Joey Hand for seventh in the 2003 series standings.

Toyota Atlantic points leader and Toronto pole sitter A.J. Allmendinger lost the lead on the start, but rallied to reclaim the lead on lap ten edge teammate Aaron Justus for the victory. The win was the fist one-two finish for RuSport in Atlantics.

The CART Toyota Atlantic Championship will take a two-week hiatus = before the series resumes with Round 8 at the legendary Trois-Rivieres = August 1-3.
