MI-JACK CONQUEST RACING ATLANTIC DRIVER GRAHAM RAHAL GRABS THE PROVISIONAL POLE IN TORONTO
Toronto, Ontario, July 7, 2006 -- Mi-Jack Conquest Racing's Atlantic driver, Graham Rahal might find the 1.755-mile temporary street circuit at Exhibition Place a little intimidating but that did not stop him from grabbing the provisional pole position during first round of qualifying for the Molson Grand Prix of Toronto Atlantic Race with a lap of 1:05.305. His team-mate, young British driver Ryan Lewis damaged his rear wing at the beginning of the session and had to pit to get it replaced. He was able to get back out before the end of the session but a red flag came out with less than ten minutes to go and cut the session short. Lewis had to settle for 18th on the provisional grid with a time of 1:07.084.
Final Round of qualifying gets underway tomorrow at 1:15 p.m. eastern.

"The last few races have gone really well for us, I knew that we had to be competitive in Cleveland to be able to move up in the points and coming here we know that we also need more points and this is the first step toward it. We had a good qualifying session and without the red flag near the end we could have been faster. I was stuck in traffic on my two fast laps but I was still able to put one down before the end and pick up the extra point today, it feels good to be on top of bunch."

"For my first time here I find the track interesting, it's also good fun and different from what I'm used to. It's just unfortunate because I clipped the rear wing on the tires on the track and lost a lot of time because of that. We came in to get it fixed but we had a few complications and when I got back out, there was a red flag that ended the session. We were unable to put in a good hard run out on the circuit. We still have a way to go and I just have to go out and not make any mistakes and hope that tomorrow we will be up there."
