Barber Dodge Pro Series rookie Andy Lally will be doing double duty at Road America the weekend of the CART FedEx Motorola 220. In addition to competing in the Barber Dodge Pro Series that weekend, Lally will have the opportunity to race in the CART Toyota Atlantic Series with World Speed Motorsports squad. This will be Lally’s first start in an Atlantic car.

"I'm excited and nervous at the same time,” said Lally of Northport, N.Y. “I've raced against most of (the current Atlantic field) at one time or the other in the past, but this is a whole new ball game for me, and I look forward to the challenge."

Lally met with World Speed Motorsports team principal Chuck West during the weekend of the CART Molson Indy Toronto, and worked out the deal right then and there. The agreement is for Lally to run the Road America round only; nevertheless, he is eager to add yet another type of racecar to his growing resume. In addition to the Barber Dodge Reynard, Lally has driven an SRII Lola in the Grand Am series as well as an F2000 racer and a Motorola Cup BMW 3 series machine.

Lally is currently seventh overall in the Barber Dodge Pro Series. After missing the opening round at Sebring, Lally went on a three-race podium streak that included two thirds and second-place finish.
