Former Barber Dodge Pro Series standout Peter Boss of Narragansett, R.I. recently completed a test with Toyota Atlantic title winning Hylton Motorsports. By the last session of the one-day test, Boss was lapping the Button Willow Raceway Park track near Bakersfield, Calif. within eight-tenths of a second of David Rutledge, the current series runner-up.

"I feel that test went very well as it was my first drive in an Atlantic car. It's so much lighter than an Indy Lights or Barber Dodge car that it allows you to brake much later," said Boss.

"The team really has a great chemistry --everyone works so well together. That made them very easy to work with. Hopefully this will lead to further opportunities," added Boss.

After three and half years in the Barber Dodge Pro Series, Boss is looking to make the successful segue to the next step in the ladder. In 2001 Boss made a highly successful one off appearance in the European Le Mans Series at Donington Park in England driving a Panoz in the top LMP class where he and his partner narrowly missed a podium finish, ending the race in fourth place.

Boss ranks 38th overall in career points with one pole at Mid Ohio in 1999 and three podium finishes to his credit.
