Forsythe Atlantic Track Pack Hot in Montreal

MONTREAL, Quebec - Friday, August 25, 2006 - On a cool day in Quebec, Forsythe Championship Racing's Atlantic Team heated up the pavement at Le Circuit Gilles Villeneuve as all four drivers grabbed top-ten spots on the Provisional Grid during the first round of Qualifying at the Champ Car Grand Prix of Montreal. Led by Canadian James Hinchcliffe in second spot, the team is showing good pace this weekend for the penultimate round of the season as Yokohama Presents the Champ Car Atlantic Championship Powered by Mazda.

James Hinchcliffe

"It's awesome to do well in front of a Canadian crowd! The car was just a tiny bit loose on corner entry but it was getting better and better as the session went on. P2 is nice but it doesn't really mean much since I expect times to be quicker tomorrow. But we came off the transporter fast and we're just getting faster, so tomorrow we're not going to be happy unless we get the Pole!"

Richard Philippe

"Overall a good day for us. It seemed like we were lacking a little bit in overall grip but we're right there. I'm confident the guys will give me a car capable of taking the pole tomorrow and now it's up to me to make it happen."

Leonardo Maia

"I was having some problems with the car getting loose exiting the corners but overall it was pretty good. I was a bit disappointed that I was the first car to get the checkered flag because it seemed like I was on the verge of doing my best lap, but that's how it goes sometimes. But I'm smiling and tomorrow's going to be a good day!"

Andreas Wirth

"I'm really disappointed. I had a pole-winning car today but I was having a problem with the gearbox that was making it very hard to downshift. I was having to over-blip the throttle and that was upsetting the balance as I turned in. But I know the guys will fix the problem and tomorrow will be the day to get Pole."
