Bessette to start for second row

Monterrey, Mexico. May 21. -- Antoine Bessette will start from second row tomorrow morning for the second round of the Toyota Formula Atlantic championship in Monterrey, Mexico. The 23-year old driver form St-Bruno, Quebec, was constantly among the fastest drivers in the previous sessions but was never able to find a clear track in front of him in the last minutes of the qualifying sessions to get back on top. Although he was third fastest overall, he will start fourth because the fastest yesterday gets a from row start.

"We have tried many different setups on the Polestar #3 UNIK Auto Design car, said AB. And every time we thought we had the right one to clinch the pole. But these cars are quite delicate to tune and we ended up fourth while lowering our best time by more than a second compared to yesterday. We think we have the solution for tomorrow. We think the start will be very important because there could be a bottleneck incident in turn number 2."

One point for leading the standings

With the four bonus points earned in Long Beach, Bessette sits second behind teammate Legge, 32 points to 31. Warm-up is set for 8:45 in the morning while the race will start tomorrow afternoon at 1h15 at Fundidora Park, a 2,1mile 12-turn urban facility in Monterrey, Mexico. Antoine Bessette will drive the Polestar Racing Group #3 UNIK Auto Design car.
