Ryan Lewis fought his way up from 19th on the grid to a 13th place finish in the Champ Car Atlantic race at Mont-Tremblant in Canada yesterday.

Ryan had a difficult time in qualifying, battling the changing weather conditions and a problem with his brakes, hence his 19th place starting position on the grid. When the lights went out he made a great start, gaining valuable places, and set about picking his way through the traffic at a circuit where overtaking is tough.

"We found it tough to find the right balance throughout the race and were held up pretty much through the entire race by (Alan) Sciuto," said Ryan. "With this circuit it makes it very hard to pass and unfortunately the only place Alan made a mistake was into our worst corner. The positive thing is we came away with points and that is the whole idea in the end."

The next race for Ryan is Round eight of the Champ Car Atlantic Championship in Toronto next weekend.
