Ryan Dalziel was the fastest man in both Friday's and Saturday's qualifying session and wins the pole at Portland International Raceway. The Sierra Sierra driver was clocked at 1:06.204 (107.069 mph) for a new track record.

Dalziel broke the record yesterday in the first qualifying session and sat on the provisional pole; thus, he is the only racer to garner the one bonus point. The one point ties him in the standings for third with Aaron Justus.

Most everyone showed an improvement of times today which was not a complete surprised due to the rain showers on Friday.

The current points leader, A.J. Allmendinger joins Dalziel on the front row. The RuSPORT team rookie did a timed lap at 1:06.334 (106.859 mph). His best shot today put him 0.130 seconds off the best lap laid down by Dalziel.

Joey Hand improved from fifth fastest yesterday to third today and secured that spot for the DSTP team's efforts. Hand was just shy of Allmendinger by 0.028 seconds.

Fourth on the starting lineup will be Dorricott Racing's Luis Diaz followed by Lynx Racing's Michael Valiante.

Second in the points Jonathan Macri will start in eighth with Justus in seventh position.

Kyle Krisiloff will have to accept Friday's best time as he crashed into a tire wall today and did not post a time, he will start from the 12th position. The Dorricott Racing machine was damaged but Krisiloff was uninjured.

Round five of the CART Toyota Atlantic Championship will take place later today at 4:00pm (PT) at the 1.969-mile road course.
