It was a busy day for Yasukawa as he completed over 100 laps throughout the day. His teammate Ryan Hunter-Reay was involved in contact early in the this morning's hour-long practice, leaving Yasukawa the sole collector of data for Hylton's two-car effort. The team tried many different combinations shock, springs and wing adjustments during the morning practice, looking for the ideal set-up for both Hylton Swift's. Yasukawa, the series' defending oval race winner earned his third consecutive top-ten qualifying result, he will start fifth in Sunday's 70-lap race.

Yasukawa on Qualifying:
"I think I could have pushed the car a little more, we have been playing catch up a bit and the car was actually a lot more stable than I had expected. For the most part, I think we are in good shape for tomorrow. I think the traffic is going to be interesting, but as long as we have a clean race, we should be able to fight for the victory."
