Irish driver, Patrick "Paddy" Hogan completed a whirlwind trip to the U.S. last week, testing for Forsythe then Brooks Associates Racing. The former Formula Renault UK Champion adapted well to the Atlantics, showing well at the Button Willow test.
Five teams with eight cars visited Button Willow last week, giving their drivers, both signed and potential, a feel for the Atlantic cars and the new Cooper tires.
"Paddy did a really good job at Button Willow, running very competitively both days. He'll be a great addition to the Atlantic series for 2007 and should be one of the fastest rookies." said John Brooks, team owner of Brooks Associates Racing.
"We've been talking to a number of drivers for the 2007 seat. It's encouraging to see so much interest in the series and from so many rookies from throughout the world. ChampCar continues to put forth a competitive schedule and the drivers' interest will make the 2007 season another exciting one." continued John.
