Santa Ana, CA - March 20, 2000 - All American Racer's brand new Atlantic team has completed their winter testing and is ready for the first Atlantic series race weekend at the Homestead 'double header' on March 25-26. The team was put together in the first week of January and this small but very dedicated group has worked very long hours to get everything in place.

Justin Gurney, 28, who graduated with a bachelor's degree from Long Beach State University and who has been working in AAR's Alligator prototype motorcycle division, has been appointed team manager. Kenny Anderson, who was Robby Gordon's race engineer in '99 and who has had stints in F1 and CART since the mid '80's, is a new and very valuable member of the All American Racers Atlantic team and will be Alex Gurney's race engineer. Bob Hedrick will serve as crew chief, having been a part of AAR's race and test team since 1991. He will be aided ably by front-end mechanic 'Stepho' Jacobs, rear-end mechanic Steve Chamberlain and gearbox specialist Tom Snarski, all having been a part of AAR's efforts in 1999. Phil Blanke, who joined AAR in '96, will be the electronics and data specialist. Robert Smith will be the truck driver and Connie Fern will be the travel and logistics manager.

JUSTIN GURNEY "This is a very talented group of people who have worked incredibly well together from the beginning. This is a new position for me and a lot of faith has been put into my hands. I will be making sure we do everything we can to succeed."

The Atlantic car will carry Dan Gurney's old winning Indy car number '48'. It is painted in the same color scheme as the Formula 1 Eagle of the 60's: dark blue with white trim. Driver Alex Gurney hopes that what was once a winning combination will be again in 2000. This will be Alex 's second year of Atlantic competition. He had five top 8 finishes in his rookie season with P1/Team Kool Green in 1999.

DAN GURNEY "As an unbiased fan, I look forward to the 2000 season!"
