French team, OAK Racing, has confirmed its entry for the 2014 Asian Le Mans Series to defend the 5tle it won last year. At the wheel of a Morgan-­‐Judd LM P2, a 100 per cent Asian driver line-­‐up will race in the five events on the 2014 calendar, which kicks off in July.

The OAK Racing Team Asia is delighted to have been able to mount another campaign in the Asian Le Mans Series with a 100 per cent Asian driver line-­‐up. It is aiming to repeat last year’s victory , and the team has renewed its confidence in Chinese drivers Ho-­Pin Tung and reigning title holder , David Cheng. Discussions are on-­going to complete this Asian driver line-­up.

While the first round of the series is in July, a major challenge awaits the OAK Racing Team Asia in June . Ho-­‐ Pin Tung and David Cheng will be joined by a third Chinese driver for the Le Mans 24 Hours at the wheel of the new HPD-­‐ powered Ligier JS P2 shod with Michelin tyres . A test is scheduled for May to help the drivers get to grips with the new car, a closed prototype from the Onroak AutomoMve workshops. Ho-­‐Pin Tung is involved in the development programme of the Ligier JS P2, and thanks to his experience he has given the team valuable advice .

The French and Chinese partners of this programme will be announced in the near future at a press conference in China, and the liveries of the Morgan LM P2 and Ligier JS P2 will be unveiled.

After a year’s apprenticeship with our drivers in Asia , our partners are very pleased to have a 100 per cent Chinese driver line-­‐up, which can fight at the front in the legendary Le Mans 24 Hours . The Ligier JS P2 will carry the colours of the 50th anniversary of Franco-Chinese relations and a big delegation of Asian journalists is expected in the Sarthe in June . ”
