The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 will be driven by the regular Craft Racing duo of AMR factory driver Stefan Muecke paired alongside Hong Kong’s Frank Yu. Joining the two this weekend is a driver new to the Craft Racing fold, 2010 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Champion Keita Sawa of Japan.

The Asian Le Mans Series is in its inaugural season, which sees the cars competing in 4 separate categories, LMP2, LMPC, GTC, and GTC Am. This exciting driver line-up will be fighting for honors in the GTC category, which is one of two classes this season eligible to win the coveted invitation to the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans. Several marquees and countries will be fighting for this honor in the GTC class, and Craft Racing AMR will do everything in their ability to bring the inaugural series crown home to Hong Kong and to Aston Martin.

Frank Yu, Craft Racing Driver: “This is a very exciting time for Asia as Le Mans has finally arrived. We know the grid isn’t the biggest this race, but the competition is still fierce among the competitors and it will be no easy task to take the win.”

Stefan Muecke, Craft Racing Driver: “I’ve competed in different Le Mans Series races all around the world, and to be here for the inaugural launch of Le Mans in Asia is exciting. This championship is very good for the growth of motorsport in Asia and I’m very happy to support it.”

Mark Goddard, Team Principle: “Its taken a lot of work to get here, but it has all been worth it as this championship is the future of endurance racing in Asia. Craft Racing AMR is fully behind this series and we hope to see it grow quickly as this is the foundation for some great racing. To have the connection to the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans is incomparable to what any other championship in the region can offer, and it is the invitation to the 24 hour that our team is aiming for.”
