Thirty-three SLM crammed the pits for the first race of the Royal Truck / G Tec Gold Cup Series. Tonight’s All American Coach 100 was won by Canadian Don St. Denis.

Polesitter, Bill Steinhilber, led for the first 18 laps before tangling with a lapped car and was relegated to the rear of the field. Ron Allen inherited the lead and paced the field for the next eight laps when a rear wheel came off the car. He was done for the night.

Jimmy Thiel became the next leader and put on a terrific duel with St. Denis until St. Denis was finally able to pass Thiel on lap 65. Thiel slowed and pitted several laps later with fuel pickup problems.

Rick Knowles was unable to capitalize on a late race caution that bunched the field and finished four car lengths behind St. Denis.

Greg Studt won his first Figure 8 feature event at Toledo after holding off a hard charging Ricky Kargel by a car length. Traffic at the intersection and spinning cars kept things exciting throughout the 20 lap feature.

The ever exciting Factory Stocks produced another first time winner. In his very first race ever, Tony Lloyd held off his teammate Chris Wilcox for the victory in the 20 lap feature.
