Fort Worth's Nur Ali to Start 27th at Texas Motor Speedway

Fort Worth, Texas (April 15, 2010) - Fort Worth driver Nur Ali will start his No. 10 Budweiser / Tara Energy Chevrolet from the 27th spot after qualifying was rained out for Friday's Rattlesnake 150 ARCA Racing Series race at Texas Motor Speedway. The field was set based upon last year's owner points. Ali, who lives just a few miles from the speedway, is making his first start on the 1.5 mile oval.

"I'm disappointed that qualifying was rained out," said Ali, "We have a fantastic car and didn't get to show it. The car was comfortable in practice and should be solid tomorrow. I want to do well not only because this is my hometown but also because I will have more than 1,000 guests in the stands cheering me on."

Ali has five previous ARCA Racing Series starts. Prior to setting his sights on a career in stock cars, he spent several years competing internationally. He was the driver for Team Pakistan in the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport during the 2006-2007 season. In the states, he spent eight seasons competing in the Star Mazda Championship. Ali, who has raced in 12 countries, is also the first and only professional race car driver of Pakistani descent.
