SHELTRA REJOINS KEN SCHRADER RACING FOR MICHIGAN

INDIANTOWN, FL (August 16, 2006) -- Twenty year-old Patrick Sheltra will rejoin the Ken Schrader Racing team for this weekend's "Hantz Group 200" at Michigan International Speedway. Sheltra, who like Schrader, has been spending a lot of time on the dirt short-tracks, will attempt to qualify the #99 Brady Ranch/FloraGanics Dodge for the 100-lap event around the 2-mile superspeedway.

With over fifty entries pre-entered for the event, Sheltra will need to quickly reacclimate himself to the feel of pavement and the handling of the ARCA RE/MAX Series stockcars.

"We definitely will have a tough task at hand," stated Sheltra. "The competition in the ARCA RE/MAX Series is very stout and Michigan always draws a lot of cars because of the manufacturers and sponsors present. The KSR team is one of the best and I have faith in the equipment they give me and (Schrader crew chief) Donnie Richeson's experience. Hopefully we just have a little luck and can put the #99 in the show and take it from there."

Sheltra is no stranger to bad luck but is looking forward to turning things around with Schrader Racing at Michigan. The "Hantz Group 200" will kick off with practice on Thursday, August 17th, and Pork Pole Qualifying is slotted for 3pm EDT. The green flag will drop on Friday, August 18th, at 5pm EDT and you can catch it live on SPEED.
