Ryan Crane to Make ARCA Remax Series Debut At "The Rock"

Panama City, FL 4/13/09- Ryan Crane Racing along with James Finch's Phoenix Racing team announce today that twenty-six year old Ryan Crane will make his ARCA Remax series debut behind the wheel of Finch's #51 Dodge at the Carolina 200 at Rockingham Speedway on April 19th.

"To be partnering up with Phoenix Racing, a team with both Nationwide and Sprint Cup series ties, for the Carolina 200 is about as good as it gets. Racing in the ARCA Remax series will be something new for me especially being behind the wheel of the heavier cars, but I know with all the guys from Phoenix Racing and crew chief Mike Garvey on my side it should make my transition pretty smooth," stated Crane.

Crane, a Florida State University business law graduate and super late model standout from Panama City, Florida will race three to five ARCA Remax series events, plus two possible Nascar Camping World east series starts, in addition to his continued super late model campaign. The Carolina 200 will mark Crane's first ever start in the ARCA Remax series however, he is no stranger to bigger style speedways after having raced on tracks such as Homestead-Miami Speedway, Kentucky Speedway, and the famed Bristol Speedway in 2001 as part of the now defunct Nascar All Pro touring series. Crane's other accomplishments include a 2007 Snowflake 100 at the 40th Annual Snowball Derby weekend as well as a South Alabama Speedway Rattler 250 win in '06.

"Having seen Ryan's short track success over the past few years at Pensacola and a few other tracks around the South, he should have no problem fitting into the ARCA Remax series. It will be a pleasure to work with both Ryan and his entire Ryan Crane Racing team," add James Finch, owner of Phoenix Racing.
