Shelby Township, Michigan - (October 27, 2010) - The 2010 ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards season has been a rollercoaster ride for Robb Brent and the Allgaier Motorsports team. It started off on the right foot with a 13th place finish at Daytona and a second place effort at Palm Beach, putting the team second in the championship standings. Caught in an early wreck at Salem, a 24th place result halted the early momentum. This would be the pattern of the back-and-forth trend for the season.
The brightest spot of the season occurred at Pocono Raceway in July, where Brent led 15 laps and brought home his first victory in the ARCA Racing Series. It was a day where everything went smoothly for the team, led by Crew Chief Dave Leiner II, and provided just rewards for their season of hard work and overcoming setbacks. "The competition was intense this year with many different first-time winners and close racing every week," Brent said. "This year anyone could win when we showed up to a race track. I learned that we can compete with the best teams and drivers as well as bounce back from adversity to find success."
Additional highlights of Brent's season included a fifth at Texas, sixth at Toledo, sixth at Pocono and top-tens at Illinois State Fairgrounds, Michigan, and Salem. Also raced his way back onto the lead lap at Berlin, moving from seventeenth to sixth under green flag conditions. Brent also accelerated his racing resume by competing in the NASCAR Nationwide Series at Road American in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin in the No. 09 RAB Racing Ford Fusion.
The Orchard Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Charger finished the season a disappointing 11th in the championship standings but still has his head held high looking towards the future. "It was a rough year but I think there are still good things for my in the future," Brent said. "Hopefully I can find victory lane again next year."
"I would like to take this time to Thank my team owners; Dorothy and Mike Allgaier, crew chief; Dave Leiner II, my team; Kelly Kovski, Dave Savicki, Jon Hanson, Josh Slater, Kurt Ackermann, & Todd Kincaid, my OTW guys; David (Sumner), Eric (Knuuttunen), Jack (Lee), Mason (Matz) & Patrick (King). These guys worked their butts off to overcome all our adversity and never gave up. Also without the support of my sponsor Orchard Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and my mom, dad and sister, Aaron (Bambach), Pete (Gladysz), and Ron (Singer), I couldn't have done any of this."
