TALLADEGA, AL - Officials of the ARCA racing sanctioning body and global real estate franchiser RE/MAX International have announced a three-year agreement in which RE/MAX will hold exclusive title sponsorship of ARCA's premier racing series, to be known as the ARCA RE/MAX Series.

ARCA's premier racing series has crowned a national champion each season since 1953, and annually visits some of the most prestigious venues in the world including Daytona Int'l Speedway, Lowe's Motor Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway, Atlanta Motor Speedway, Michigan Speedway and Pocono Int'l Raceway. The ARCA RE/MAX Series will also receive national television coverage on a variety of networks including Fox, Fox Sports Net, FX, TBS and Speedvision.

"We are very excited about our involvement with ARCA," said Dave Liniger, RE/MAX chairman of the board. "Motorsports is certainly not a new interest for RE/MAX. We looked long and hard at several opportunities and found the ARCA RE/MAX Series to be a perfect fit for all. This series is one of the finest in racing, with loyal fans, fantastic drivers and crews. Adding more speedway events in new markets in 2001 makes the series even more exciting for everyone. We anticipate a long and mutually beneficial relationship with the ARCA RE/MAX Series."

RE/MAX, approaching its 29th year of continual growth, is one of the leading real estate organizations in the world, operating in 35 countries with more than 62,000 agents in 3,600 offices.

"We view the ARCA RE/MAX Series title sponsorship as a critical element of our overall activities," said ARCA President Ron Drager. "Our goal was to enter into a long-term agreement with a series sponsor which could help ARCA grow, and in turn, provide that sponsor with some great marketing opportunities. Given the presence and strong international industry position of RE/MAX, their commitment to our series provides a great potential to continue to elevate and carry the series forward."

The ARCA RE/MAX Series kicks off the 25-event 2001 season with the 38th annual Daytona ARCA 200 at Daytona Int'l Speedway on Feb. 11.
