Ponstein to run double duty Saturday at MIS and Berlin Raceway

MARNE, MI -- Hudsonville's Andy Ponstein will run a double Saturday, competing at Michigan International Speedway in the ARCA Flagstar 200 then flying by helicopter to Berlin Raceway to race in the Sunoco Super Series 150 presented by Georgetown Construction.

Ponstein, a former Berlin Raceway regular, has moved on to race in traveling series such as ARCA (he finished fifth in the ARCA race at Berlin Raceway May 24), Sunoco Super Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

The ARCA race at MIS is scheduled to start at 1 p.m., Meanwhile, Berlin Late Model driver Lee Anderson will be setting up his Sunoco Super Series car on the other side of the state. Ponstein figures he'll arrive by helicopter in time for SSS qualifying at 5:45.
