Fukuyama qualifies sixth.

LEBANON, Tenn. (April 11, 2003) Following an early morning qualifying session, the starting lineup for tonight's ARCA REMAX PFG Lester 150 has been set. Hideo Fukuyama and the No. 9 Kikkoman Ford Taurus will begin tonight's 113- lap race in sixth position.

Fukuyama drove the No. 9 Kikkoman Ford Taurus for two qualifying laps around the 1.33- mile Nashville Superspeedway, with a qualifying time of 30.868 seconds.

"I'm satisfied with qualifying in sixth position, but I'm a little disappointed with my lap time," said first-time ARCA driver Fukuyama. "I took a slight risk with my driving and messed up a little bit in the fourth turn, which slowed my lap time enough to bump me down into sixth position.

"I want to run better tonight than I did in qualifying. Thanks to the Kikkoman crew, I have a very good car that can run well. I want to meet everyone's expectations tonight and make up for the part that fell below expectations during qualifying today. "

The No. 9 crew chief, Gary Cogswell said, "I was pleased with a top ten qualifying time. We should be able to race with the best cars and race well. We beat a lot of drivers that compete in this series regularly. "

Fukuyama also ran the second fastest time during final practice today, behind tonight's pole-sitter, Kyle Busch.

The PFG Lester 150 will be televised live on SPEED Channel from 9-11pm, E.T.
