Third Consecutive Top Ten Finish for Bean and Team GLOCK in Michigan

Mooresville, NC (6.16.08) #37 Dexter Bean and Team GLOCK finished ninth in the ARCA RE/MAX series Racing For Wildlife 200 at Michigan International Speedway. The race was delayed on Friday the 13th due to rainy conditions and was postponed until 8:30a.m. the following Saturday morning.

Dexter piloted the 021 chassis that he had previously raced in Iowa. It was a fairly uneventful race for Team GLOCK Racing. Their Chevrolet started 17th and was in the 11th position by lap 14. Dexter had noticed a bad shake in the rear of the car around the time of the lap 20 caution. He made a pit stop and received a track bar adjustment, 4 fresh tires and fuel. With the help of his over the wall guys, Dexter was able to position himself in the eighth position when he reentered the track and was in seventh position at the time of the restart.

After the restart, Dexter had noticed that the car was loose in the middle and still had a bad vibration in the rear. He slowly moved back down in postion and was 16th by the lap 53 caution. After the lap 64 caution, he had moved up to the 13th position.

Toward the end of the race, Dexter slowly moved up 4 positions to cross the finish line in the ninth place. It had been determined that the vibrations in the rear of the car were caused by problems with the rear end gear. Team GLOCK had a great pit strategy and ended the race in a strong position.

This was the third consecutive top ten finish for Team GLOCK following a third place finish in Toledo and a seventh place finish in Pocono last weekend. Dexter remains in the 11th position in the ARCA RE/MAX driver point standings. "The Team GLOCK Chevrolet was really good at the start of the green flag. We started 17th and got all the way up to seventh. The rest of the day the car was tight which kept us out of the top five. It was definitely a positive day for Team GLOCK and we're happy with another top 10 finish," said Dexter.

The next stop on the schedule for Team GLOCK is is the Cayuga ARCA RE/MAX 250 at Cayuga Motor Speedway. Practice and qualifying will be held on Saturday, June 28th and the race will be on Sunday, June 29th.
