Bowsher Set To Boogie in The Bluegrass State
The ARCA ReMax Series will take the green flag Saturday at Kentucky Speedway for the Channel 5/205 and when they do the GFS Marketplace #21 Ford Taurus, driven by Springfield, Ohio native Todd Bowsher is set to Boogie in the Bluegrass State.
Coming off of two worse than expected finishes in a row, at Nashville and Salem, the Jack Bowsher & Associates Motorsports team has bounced back with a great test session at Kentucky Speedway on April 26 in preparation for this event. Todd says, " We rebounded pretty strong with the test at Kentucky, we put together several different shock and spring combinations that made the car more comfortable to drive and picked up a lot of speed at the same time, so we're going to the race and apply what we learned.
Bowsher added, " We're really looking forward to running better than we ever have here this weekend, we just put the finishing touches on the intermediate Roush Racing Taurus that we bought earlier this year and can't wait to debut it at Kentucky Speedway. Kentucky Speedway is at the top of the list as one of my favorite tracks, I consider it my home track because our race shop in Springfield, Ohio's not too far from Sparta, Kentucky. I was in Cincinnati just Sunday night and did a guest spot on the Tide Racing Report on 700 WLW with a lot of fans calling in to lend their support to our team. This is going to be a big weekend for the fans and all of us from this area. We're going to have a lot of fans in the grandstand as well as several people from Gordon Food Service and GFS Marketplace, we've fine tuned some things for this race and we're looking forward to giving them a good run and getting our team back to where it belongs." Bowsher also added, " We've got a strong car and the entire team is pumped up after the positive test session we had, we turned some heads, and we're not done yet."
With this being one of the busiest weeks of the year leading up to Mothers Day at Gordon Food Service, Todd hasn't had much time to think about anything but work and racing. Besides his job he's been busy with appearances and guest spots, he tested at Kentucky Speedway on Monday April 26, did the Tide Racing Report on 700 WLW in Cincinnati on Sunday night and headed to Louisville, Kentucky for an appearance with the car at the Gordon Food Service Food Show Tuesday and Wednesday then back to the shop on Wednesday night to prepare for the race this weekend.
Practice and Qualifying for the ARCA Remax Series event at Kentucky Speedway is Friday May 7, with the green flag for the Channel 5-205 at 8pm on Saturday May 8, Live on SPEED.
