Dexter Bean/Team GLOCK Racing finish 19th at Kansas Speedway

Team GLOCK Racing was upbeat to get back to racing less than a week after the Iowa race at Kansas Speedway's Kansas Lottery $150 Grand in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. The #37 GLOCK Chevrolet had a great pedigree with top ten finishes last year. The Wegner engine was brand new with all of the goodies, but during practice the car kept bottoming out on the racetrack. Adjustments were made to the rear-end of the car before the race to keep it from hitting the track. With the adjustments, the GLOCK Chevrolet still had clearance problems during the race.

Dexter explained how the car handled for him at Kansas, "We unloaded a car this week that was new to me. Team GLOCK worked hard in practice to keep the racecar from hitting the track. We made some adjustments for the start of the race and towards the end the car was a lot better, but due to the earlier stages in the race, we had already fallen behind. We expected much more that where we finished, but instead brought the GLOCK Chevy home in one piece this week."

Jeff Spraker adds, "Even though we picked up several positions at the end of the event, we didn't have enough time remaining to record the finish that we wanted. We weren't as good off the trailer as we normally are and we will work to improve on that before the next 1 ½ mile event. We're looking forward to going to Rockingham next week. We tested well there and hope that will be a turn-around point for this team in 2008!"

#37 Team GLOCK Racing head to Rockingham this week to compete in The Inaugural Carolina 500 from Rockingham Speedway on Sunday, May 4th. The GLOCK, Inc. hauler will makes its way through downtown Rockingham on Thursday afternoon, May 1st during the ARCA RE/MAX Series hauler parade which begins at 12pm from Pineridge Shopping Center. Thursday evening, Dexter will appear at the Thunderfest Driver Autograph session from 6-7pm in downtown Rockingham. The Carolina 500 will be televised live on the SPEED Channel at 12pm Eastern Standard Time on Sunday, May 4th.
