Triple Header in Store for Allgaier This Weekend

Springfield, IL (August 18, 2006) -While most of the ARCA RE/MAX drivers head into the weekend focusing on Friday nights event at the Michigan International Speedway and Sunday's event at the Illinois State Fairground, Justin Allgaier is focusing on three events. Allgaier will head straight home after Friday's race in Michigan to his hometown of Springfield, Illinois to strap into his No. 85 Ethanol USAC Silver Crown Car for Saturday nights Tony Bettenhausen 100 on the famous one-mile dirt oval at the Illinois State Fairground.J

"I always like racing at the Fairgrounds," Justin Allgaier said. "The Ethanol Illinois Corn Marketing Board invited me to sign autographs the other day and the fans I spoke to were really excited about the weekend lineup. Racing is very popular here in Illinois. I hope to use Saturday's USAC Silver Crown race as a warm up for Sunday's ARCA event. Racing the No. 85 Ethanol USAC Silver Crown Car is a lot of fun and I think we'll be good on the Saturday."

Although most ARCA RE/MAX drivers may be nervous about racing on the clay track - not Allgaier; he is no stranger to the Illinois State Fairground. Not only is he racing in front of his hometown crowd but last year, Allgaier crushed the ten-year-old track record in qualifying for the ARCA race and became the first ever driver from Springfield to sit on the pole. Allgaier posted a time of 33.423 (107.710 MPH).

"It's always exciting to race at home," Allgaier said. "I know the grandstands will be full of my family and friends. We have great cars for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It was an honor last year to break the track record in the ARCA race that Bob Hill set ten years ago. I hope I can top that Sunday and visit victory lane in Allen Crowe 100."

Section M at the Illinois State Fairground is reserved for Justin Allgaier fans and tickets can be purchased in advance for both events by calling 217-764-3200 or visiting www.trackenterprises.com.
