SPARTA, KY. -- Four-time ARCA RE/MAX Champion Frank Kimmel and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Matt Crafton will be on hand from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Kentucky Speedway's Ft. Mitchell office to help kick-off 2003 single-event ticket sales on Monday, Jan. 6.
Tickets will be available throughout the day both in person and online from the speedway as well as Tickets.com Web site and its retail outlets.
"Single-event ticket day is quickly becoming a New Year's tradition for Kentucky Speedway fans," Kentucky Speedway Executive Vice President and General Manager Mark F. Cassis said. "They get a chance to meet circuit drivers, see race machines up close and, with The Daytona 500 right around the corner, wet their appetites for the upcoming race season."
Several "show cars" representing the race series that will compete at Kentucky Speedway during the upcoming season will be on display throughout the day. Kimmel's No. 46 Advance Auto Parts/Pork Producers Ford will join the Indy Racing League machines of two-time league champion Sam Hornish, Jr., and last year's "Belterra Casino Indy 300" pole sitter, Sarah Fisher. The NASCAR Busch Series No. 37 Timber Wolf Ford of Kentucky native David Greene also will be on display with the Official Kentucky Speedway Ford Taurus.
Beginning Jan. 6, Tickets.com will facilitate Kentucky Speedway single-event ticket and Reserved RV camping pass sales to local clients and race fans. Tickets will be available through the Cincinnati Visitor's Center, and select retail outlets in Greater Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio, as well as those in Louisville and Lexington, Ky. Outlets include Meijer stores and supercenters, Play-It-Again Sports stores and Hader Hardware locations.
