A Look Back at Nashville: John Wes Townley, driver of the No. 09 Zaxby's/SPS/BB&T/Saxon Group Ford, finished a disappointing 33rd in his first attempt on the 1.33-mile track in Music City. However, Townley's weekend started off on a high note as the RAB Racing team unloaded a competitive racecar right off the truck. The eighteen-year-old rookie posted the fourth fastest lap in the closing laps of practice on Friday and the ninth fastest time in the SIM Factory Pole Qualifying on Saturday. Townley started the 113-lap event in the ninth position and was having a solid run until he radioed into the team that he was having trouble with his brakes. By lap 46 he was down to his lowest position of the day, 13th, and on lap 52 a right-front tire blew coming out of turn four sending the No. 09 machine into the wall.

After 14: After 14 of the 21 scheduled events in the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule, Townley has one top-five, five top-10 and 10 top-15 finishes. The SunTrust Rookie has finished inside the top-15, 10 out of 14 races, has an average starting position of 13.21, an average finish of 14.57 and has completed 93.97% of all laps attempted (2073 out of 2206).

Points Check: Townley's disappointing 33rd place finish in the Toyota ARCA 150 at Nashville Superspeedway dropped him to 7th in the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series Championship point standings with 2700 points. Townley is just five points behind sixth place, Tom Hessert III and 575 points behind leader, Scott Speed.

Robert Benton, owner of the No. 09 Zaxby's Ford, also has 2700 points.

First Time for Everything: Townley is among five other drivers that have never raced on dirt before. Scott Speed, Matt Carter, Justin Lofton, Ken Butler, III and Michael Phelps will also be making their dirt-track debut with Townley this weekend at Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, IL.

RAB Racing at Springfield: RAB Racing has a solid record at Illinois State Fairgrounds. In just 2 starts the team has one top-five and two top-10's; 8th, Damon Lusk, 2006 and 4th, Justin Marks, 2007. The team has an average starting position of 7.00, an average finish of 6.00, has led 14 laps and has completed 100% of all laps attempted.

Testing One, Two, Three, Testing: Following Sunday's event at Springfield, IL the No. 09 team will head to the "Windy City" to participate in the ARCA open test at Chicagoland Speedway on Tuesday, August 19TH.
