JOLIET, Illinois (September 6, 2007) - - After posting a solid top-15 finish last Friday night at Gateway International Raceway (GIR), ARCA RE/MAX Series rookie Michelle Theriault is looking for her first top-10 finish in the ARCA RE/MAX Series at Saturday's Chicagoland ARCA 200.

Rewinding back to Gateway, Theriault believes the respect she has gained from her fellow competitors will give her an advantage in Saturday's thriller.[IMAGE] "I love competing in the ARCA RE/MAX Series," said Theriault, driver of the No. 37 GLOCK Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. "I've been able to learn an awful lot this year and I'm hoping that will pay off on Saturday."

She continued, "I knew with time, we would have decent performances in the ARCA RE/MAX Series."

Despite never competing at Chicagoland Speedway, Theriault is banking on her past success at the mile-and-a-half tracks in the ARCA RE/MAX Series to pay off in the 20th event this season. "I've watched races from Chicagoland, but I've never raced there. We'll have plenty of practice on Friday, so the goal is to acquire as many laps as we can during the two-hour session. From practice, we can move to qualifying and the race."

With cooler temperatures expected for this weekend, Theriault also knows the competition is expected to step up. "It won't be as hot in Chicagoland this weekend as it was at Gateway last weekend. It should be a good race and we plan to keep our GLOCK Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS in the fight."

Another reason Theriault is pumped about her debut at the Joliet, Illinois speed plant is the Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS her Spraker Racing Enterprises team has prepared in preparation for the Connecticut native's fourth career ARS start.

"We're bringing an extremely fast racecar to the track this weekend," sounded Theriault. "Jeff and the guys have really worked hard to give me a great racecar."For the third time this season, Theriault will be joined by fellow female competitors Gabi DiCarlo and Erin Crocker. b^0x001cI love competing with Gabi and Erin. We talk at the track when we get a chance, but we are also competitive. They are great racecar drivers and have good teams, so to race them in our own female group is a little race in itself."

Following Chicagoland, Theriault and Team GLOCK is expected to compete in two more ARCA events at Talladega Superspeedway (October 5) and the season finale at Toledo Speedway (October 14).

Next week, Michelle returns to her full time duties in the NASCAR Busch East Series with a second event at New Hampshire International Speedway (NHIS) on September 14.

The Chicagoland ARCA 200 (134 laps/200 miles) is the 20th of 23 races on the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule. The seventh ARCA race held at Chicagoland Speedway is a two-day show. Practice begins Friday, September 7 with a two hour practice session planned from 1:00pm-3:00pm. ARCA SIM Factory pole qualifying is set for later in the day at 5:00pm Local Time. The event will take the green flag Saturday, September 8 shortly after 1:00pm Local Time. The race will be televised live on SPEED with additional race coverage online at arcaracing.com.
