GLOCK Blows Into the Windy City

In the Windy City where GLOCK handguns are now issued to academy recruits at the Chicago Police Department Academy, Dexter Bean and Team GLOCK Racing are prepared to also take control of the racetrack in Joliet during the Chicagoland ARCA 200 (200 miles/134 laps) in the ARCA RE/MAX Series at Chicagoland Speedway.

Team GLOCK just came off of a fourth place finish on Monday at the clay track in DuQuoin, Illinois and Dexter Bean has the confidence that is needed to be competitive at the Chicago Speedway. "Chicago is a fun racetrack. It's fast and has two grooves to race on! We will bring our best car and I'm confident on having another strong finish this weekend," said Dexter. Spraker Racing Enterprises will carry the #008 car to Chicago with a brand new engine built by Wegner Motorsports. Dexter has a history of top five finishes in that car this season at Toledo and Cayuga. He should have all of ammunition needed for another strong finish.

Team owner Jeff Spraker mentions, "Everyone at Team GLOCK is pumped up after the super run at DuQuoin. This has provided great momentum and we're ready to take on Chicagoland. This is a very aero-dependent, high- horsepower track and we have come prepared to put the GLOCK, Inc. Chevy up front. Dexter finished in the top-ten here last year, so he has a handle on this place and we look to back-up last week's top five with another solid finish."

Events will begin on Friday, September 5th with practice from 1 3pm. SIM Factory Pole Qualifying is scheduled to begin at 5pm on Friday and the race will commence at 5pm CST on Saturday, September 6th. Race day activities can be viewed from Team GLOCK Racing Sponsored Live Timing and Scoring available on arcaracing.com. The race will also be televised on the SPEED Channel on Sunday, September 7th at 4pm.
