KNUPP, STRONG AT KY TEST; EAGER TO RACE

Sidney, Ohio's Brandon Knupp had a strong and productive test session at Kentucky Speedway back on May 2, in preparation for the upcoming ARCA RE/MAX Series event.

Knupp held the 2nd fastest time for the best part of the a.m. test session, 5th overall before breaking for lunch and 10th quickest in overall test speeds for the one day open test session.

"I knew as soon as we hit the track the car was going to be good, we've worked our tails off preparing for this deal," Knupp said. "We learned a lot at the test and are making some adjustments, we should be good for the race, I'm really eager to get back to Kentucky Speedway, it's a really neat place."

You could say Brandon feels like Kentucky owes him, he qualified 18th in 2004 for the ARCA race but was caught up in someone else's wreck early and finished in the 38th spot. So he's headed back to this race looking to get repaid for what the place took from him last year, and with the test speeds to back up his plan look for Brandon and the Mark Knupp Muffler & Tire #96 to be right there when the checkered flag comes down.

Brandon and the MKR Team will take to the Kentucky Speedway in Sparta, KY on Friday May 13 at 3pm for a 2-hour ARCA RE/MAX Series practice session. Saturday May 14 holds Pork Pole Qualifying at 9:45am, with the green flag set to fly on the Harley Davidson of Cincinnati 150 at 3:00pm.
