Allgaier Carries Momentum to Berlin
Marne, MI (July 21, 2008)-Justin Allgaier will head to the Berlin Speedway in Marne, Michigan with the rest of the ARCA RE/MAX drivers for the running of the ARCA 200 Saturday, July 26, 2008.
Allgaier has two previous starts in the No. 16 Hoosier Mid-West ARCA RE/MAX Series car at the famed 7/16-mile short track near Grand Rapids, Michigan. Allgaier's best finish at the track was fifth in 2007.
"Berlin is slow and slick," Allgaier said. "It fits my driving style because it reminds me of driving in a late model car. The track is a lot of fun for the drivers and the fans. Short track racing tends to create a lot of excitement on the track. For me I enjoy the grassroots racing facility that Berlin offers. I'm happy to have our season start to come together. We have had a few weeks that have been just outstanding and we look forward to keeping that momentum going into Berlin."
In 2008, Allgaier has posted two wins (Salem, Cayuga), seven top-5 and seven top-10 finishes in the ARCA RE/MAX Series season and sits fifth in the 2008 Driver Championship points' race.
Allgaier's determination is starting to pay off. The young driver has been asked to drive for Venturini Motorsports and NASCAR Nationwide Series team CJM Racing, who fields the No. 11 America's Incredible Pizza Company car for Jason Keller in the Nashville ARCA race August 9th. Allgaier is slated to test for the team at the Nashville Superspeedway this Tuesday, July 22nd. The young driver will step out from behind the wheel of the family owned No. 16 Chevrolet for the August ARCA race. Brian Scott, another Venturini Motorsports driver, will step into the No. 16 ARCA RE/MAX Series car for the event August 9, 2008.
"This is a great opportunity for me," Allgaier said. "I know we have a few races before we race in Nashville but I am looking forward to testing this week. It should give help build some communication and set-ups for the race in August. I have to thank the Venturini's and CJM Racing for the chance drive the No. 25 in Nashville. Hopefully, we can bring them home a solid finish or a win."
