NOTES OF INTEREST: When Frank Kimmel rolls off the starting grid in the Georgia Boot 400, the Jeffersonville, IN driver will have clinched his 2nd ARCA Bondo/Mar-Hyde Series championship in 3 seasons. Winder Georgia driver Mark Gibson will make his 205th ARCA start in the Georgia Boot 400, more than any other active ARCA driver. In addition, Gibson will make his 30th Atlanta ARCA start, also more than any active ARCA driver. Upon competing in the Georgia Boot 400, Shawna Robinson will become the first female driver in ARCA history (48 years) to have competed in a full ARCA season. In addition, Robinson, currently 6th in points, will become the first female driver in ARCA history to have finished in the top-10 in points with an honest shot at a top-5 point finish. Robinson is 130 points away from Bobby Gerhart in 5th. From the NASCAR Winston Cup world, Michael Kranefuss, Bill Davis, Roger Penske, AJ Foyt, Dale Earnhardt, Ken Schrader, Terry Labonte, Juney Donlavey and Dave Marcis have entered teams in the Georgia Boot 400. After 31 ARCA events at Atlanta since 1984, Tim Steele is the only driver to ever win back-to-back victories having done so in November of '95 and March of '96.
