Returning to Winchester: The ARCA RE/MAX Series will return to Winchester Speedway after a two-year hiatus. Andy Belmont and the Year One Racing are looking for their first victory at the track since a career-best second in 1998.
Welcome Aboard: ABM (Andy Belmont Media, Inc.) would like to welcome DesKrafters and Industrial Depot as associate sponsors on the No. 1 Ford Taurus. DesKrafters and Industrial Depot join the team for the fourth event of the 2006 season and will remain associate sponsors for the remainder of the season.
No. 1 Year One Chassis: The ABM crew will unload the same chassis they ran at Salem Speedway two weeks ago. The car unloaded strong from the hauler producing the fourth fastest time in practice and eighth in qualifying. The team was involved in the multi-car accident on lap 23 regulating the team to a 30th place finish.
Andy Belmont, Year One Racing Winchester Pre-Race Quotes:
Andy Belmont, driver of the No. 1 Year One Ford Taurus:
On Salem: "Man, we didn't need that. After posting quick times in practice, the whole team was excited. We were running comfortably in the top-ten and the leader got wrecked. It's typical Salem, but we had a hotrod. The team wants to bounce back at Winchester this weekend."
On The New Sponsors: "We're excited about having DesKrafters and Industrial Depot aboard. They are bringing new and welcomed enthusiasm to our team and we're hoping to give them some good finishes."
On Returning To Winchester: "I am really looking forward to it. We would like to get more laps on this new car and be around for our first top-ten finish of the year."
Barry Owen, crew chief of the No. 1 Year One Ford Taurus:
On Salem: "It just shows what kind of cars we are putting on the track this season. We built the car during the off season and put it on the racetrack and ran very fast. The team has worked hard since Salem to put it back together and we're looking forward to finishing what we started this weekend."
On Returning To Winchester: "I've heard a lot of people are looking forward to returning to Winchester. It's a lot like Salem, but faster. We're going with a basic setup and we hope to unload strong or stronger on Sunday."
