Miller Motorsports Park Opens its Doors to the Public
Tooele County, Utah (June 7, 2006) -- Race fans and curious spectators will get their first "Sneak Peek" of the new, state-of-the-art Miller Motorsports Park on Saturday, June 10 when the gates open, free of charge, for a day of racing and family fun.
"This is an incredible opportunity for the public to get a first-hand look at what the park has to offer and feel the thrill and excitement of the wonderful world of racing," said Miller Motorsports Park General Manager Alan Wilson. "This will be just a taste of what fans can expect to see throughout the season and we hope everyone will come out and take advantage of this free sneak peek as the inaugural season at Miller Motorsports Park gets underway."
There will be motorcycle racing throughout the day as WERA Motorcycle Roadracing, (Western Eastern Racing Association) one of the oldest and largest national sanctioning bodies in the sport, holds a regional event. Special activities for the entire family begin at 11:30 a.m. and run through 3:00 p.m. including demonstrations by the Ogio Freestyle Motorcross team sponsored by Red Bull (1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m.), live entertainment by Utah favorites The Fender Benders and Salsa Brava, inflatable games provided by Sweet Jumps, helicopter rides, kart and mini-motorcycle track rentals, along with exhibitor booths and the best race track food in the country at the facility concession stands. Admission and parking are free of charge. Gates open at 7:00 a.m. and WERA practice begins at 8:30 a.m. on the main track.
Miller Motorsports Park is already considered by many to be the premier roadracing facility in the United States. The design philosophy of Miller Motorsports Park has led to the creation of a national standard for roadracing and karting which is equal or superior to any existing North American facility. Miller Motorsports Park also features exceptional corporate and hospitality facilities designed to attract sponsors and corporate involvement in a wide range of activities, both on and off the track. Miller Motorsports Park is easily accessed by major highway (I-80), and surrounding county roads.
