ENTRY LIMITATIONS IN PLACE AT LAGUNA SECA ROUND OF AMA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP

PICKERINGTON, Ohio (June 10, 2005) -- Entries into the three AMA classes featured at the upcoming Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, July 8-10, will be limited due to space constraints AMA Pro Racing announced today.

Riders competing in the AMA Superbike Championship, Pro Honda Oils Supersport Championship presented by Shoei and Repsol Lubricants Superstock Series will be approved for competition based on criteria outlined in the event entry form.

Although the number of entries has been limited at past AMA-sanctioned races at the Laguna Seca facility due to space, the challenge this year is even greater. In addition to AMA riders and teams requiring space, the weekend's heavy schedule includes all participants competing in the MotoGP World Championship event as well as the Yamaha and GE-sponsored Superstars of Super Karts race.

Additionally, two-separate TV production companies will be working out of the paddock.

Ron Barrick, Road Race Series Manager for AMA Pro Racing said his team was working proactively with track officials to ensure that everyone's needs were being addressed. "With an event of this magnitude there are bound to be logistical challenges," said Barrick. "We are in constant communication with Laguna Seca sorting through the myriad of details. It will require a bit of 'compromise' on the part of everyone, but we're confident we'll get through it. The bottom line is that there is just so much space to go around and we're working in cooperation with Laguna Seca personnel to make sure it's distributed equitably."
