The nation's top amateur racers add an exclamation point to a great weekend of racing at the MGM Grand Garden Arena Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open in the Toyota Amateur Arenacross World Finals

AURORA, Ill., (Oct. 16, 2006) -- The list of champions coming out of Sunday's 6th annual running of the Toyota Amateur Arenacross World Finals at the MGM Grand Garden Arena read like a 'Who's Who' list of podium finishers from America's top amateur motocross events held throughout 2006.

From the amateur MX National openers at Lake Whitney and Oak Hill, Texas, through the Mini GP's (Las Vegas), Ponca City (Okla.) and Loretta Lynn's (Tenn.), the racers who were on the podium in multitude of classes have made the Toyota Amateur Arenacross World Finals -- the culmination of the Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open weekend --one of the top amateur national motocross races.

"The Rockstar U.S. Open and Las Vegas provide the perfect backdrop for the nation's top amateurs that qualify to compete in the Toyota Amateur Arenacross World Finals," said Robert Hansen, director of arenacross for Live Nation. "Up and down the list of qualified racers for the Toyota Amateur Arenacross World Finals you'll find athletes who made an impact at the other major amateur motocross events through out the summer.

"The Toyota Amateur Arenacross World Finals has definitely come to be know as one of the premier amateur motocross events of the season."

Notable championships include Loretta Lynn's 50cc 2 class runner-up Cobra's Hayden Justice, who won the 50cc class and Loretta's runner-up and former pro motocross rider Kurt McMillen (Suzuki). As a whole, the Toyota Amateur Arenacross World Finals enjoyed top flight amateur talent across the board.
