AMA Sports Announces 2004 Awards Nominees

PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- AMA Sports, which manages amateur and pro-am competition for the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA), is pleased to announce the nominees for several of the special awards that will be presented at the second annual AMA Sports Awards Banquet, to be held Friday evening, November 12, 2004, at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel and Conference Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Champions in AMA Sports and ATVA programs from across the country, as well as some of the key media who cover them, will be honored at this year's ceremony. AMA Sports will announce several more nominees soon, as series conclude, and will publish the complete list at www.AMADirectlink.com in the AMA Newsroom.

Masters-of-ceremonies will be Speed Channel personality Greg White and veteran race announcer Tim Cotter. Naughton Insurance will be the presenting sponsor for the 2004 AMA Sports Awards Banquet; reception sponsors will be MX Sports and Racer X Illustrated; other sponsors include Washougal Motocross, Cernics Racing, P&D Promotions, and Rausch Creek Motorsports, with more to be announced.

Tickets for the 2004 AMA Sports Awards Banquet are $75 per person and include admission to the evening's hosted reception, dinner, a souvenir program and memorabilia, and seating for the awards ceremony.
