Drivers Katherine Legge and Andy Meyrick look forward to continuing the coupe’s development this weekend, while adding another storied American racetrack to their driving files.
ALTON, VA (October 3, 2013) – Following the successful race debut of the revolutionary coupe prototype, the DeltaWing® Racing Cars team prepares for this weekend’s Oak Tree Grand Prix at scenic Virginia International Raceway, the penultimate race of the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón.
The DeltaWing coupe saw its first race action two weeks ago at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. The team was pleased with the car’s progress throughout the weekend and the miles the car completed in race trim. Drivers Katherine Legge and Andy Meyrick look forward to continuing the coupe’s development this weekend, while adding another storied American racetrack to their driving files.
“We’ve taken everything we learned at Circuit of the Americas and brought it forward into this race weekend,” agreed Meyrick. “We’ve got a race event with the coupe under our belts now. The team has made more improvements in the week between races, so it’s up to us now, to get up to speed with this new track as quickly as we can. It’s a new track for both of us, but it looks like a very good track and we’re looking forward to the weekend.”
