WHY TO WATCH: KLAUS GRAF, MUSCLE MILK TEAM CYTOSPORT
Taking in the drama from Mid-Ohio - unfortunately from the sidelines

It's never easy for a competitor to watch from the sidelines. So while Klaus Graf was mesmerized watching Saturday's Mid-Ohio Sports Car Challenge, the reality of not being on the track and in the thick of the action was that much more difficult.

Earlier in the week, the Muscle Milk Porsche RS Spyder had to withdraw from the race following a devastating crash in Thursday's test session with teammate Greg Pickett at the wheel. It did give the chance for Graf and the team owner to watch all the action themselves.

"The race at Mid-Ohio was a great one in all four classes," said Graf, an overall winner with Pickett at Lime Rock in July. "Even though Muscle Milk Team CytoSport couldn't participate and fight for the win, the battle for overall victory was amazing. To have that close racing within four classes that all race in the same race is a tremendous testimony for the formula of the American Le Mans Series. Action packed, exciting, side-by-side racing, constant overtaking ... I couldn't believe it. It was a fantastic race at a great sports car track at Mid-Ohio."

The Porsche prototype, by the way, is set to return to the grid next week at Road America.
