Hammond, Ind.--Liz Halliday truly knows the meaning of horsepower, both literally and figuratively. Whether she is strapped into a 500 horsepower race car, or riding one of her horses in equestrian events, Halliday feels right at home. Originally from California, she now calls Surrey England home.

Halliday will take part in her second 12 Hours of Sebring this weekend at the famed airstrip, as she will join Jon and Clint Field in the #37 Intersport Racing machine in the P2 class.

No stranger to endurance racing, Halliday has competed in the famed 24 Hours of LeMans, as well as in the Rolex 24 at Daytona, also the Bathurst 24-hour race in Australia, in addition to the 24 Hours at Spa in the FIA GT Series.

Halliday broke into the American LeMans Series in 2004, and has three victories in the LMP2, class, teamed with Clint Field. She finished fourth in points last season, helping Clint Field bring home the title. In addition to this, Halliday was named the Dailysportscar.com Rookie-of-the-Year.

Across the pond, she won a British GT race in 2003, driving a Porsche, as well as being named, "Driver of the Day" at Donnington and Croft in 2002 and Rockingham in 2003.

Never one to rest, Halliday and her horse Foxy, will also take part in 12 equestrian events in Europe this season. Her goal is to compete for the United States in the Olympics in 2008 or 2012.

Fresh off a flight from Portugal and practicing at Sebring, Halliday will catch her breath and make a pit stop on Racing Talk on AM 1230 WJOB and AM 1420 WIMS at 6 p.m. Central Friday.
