Intersport Racing's Jon Field was taken to a Sebring, Fla., hospital Monday following a crash during testing for this weekend's opening round of the 2010 American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patron.

Field, testing for the 58th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Fresh from Florida, had his AER-powered Lola B06/10 LMP1 race car go airborne and flip several times between Turns 9 and 10 of the 3.7-mile, 17-turn Sebring International Raceway circuit. The car eventually came to a stop upright on its wheels.

Field was transported to Highlands Regional Medical Center in Sebring for observation.
