Plenty of Off-Track Attractions at Sebring

Sebring, FL --The 52nd Annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring is more than just a race. Off track, race fans will be able to enjoy Sebring's famous festive atmosphere, with plenty to see and do.

The annual motorsports "happening" runs Saturday, March 20, at the famed Sebring International Raceway.

Legendary cars from Sebring's past will be on display in the paddock at the Gallery of Legends, including the OSCA MT4 Stirling Moss co-drove to victory in 1954, Al Holbert's Porsche 962, and the Greenwood "Spirit of Sebring" Corvette.

Several legendary drivers will be attending Sebring this year, including Carroll Shelby, three-time winner Mario Andretti, Sir Stirling Moss and Bobby Rahal. These four legends are being inducted into the Sebring Sports Car Racing Hall of Fame along with Bob and Al Holbert and Ford Heacock, Sr.

The Spring Brake Party Zone offers a variety of activities, including live entertainment, beach volleyball, and the Hawaiian Tropic bikini contest.

Sebring's famous Midway features a variety of food, beverage and souvenirs, plus manufacturer displays, carnival rides and helicopter rides.

On Friday afternoon, all the drivers in the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring will be in the Paddock at the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) Autograph session. In addition, a special ALMS Fan Forum will take place Friday at the Spring Brake Party Zone, where fans can ask drivers and officials questions.

Sebring International Raceway has added several conveniences for spectators, including new scoreboards, hot showers, shuttle service to a free parking area just outside the main entrance and a viewing grandstand on the famous Ulmann Straight.

At the checkered flag of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, a fireworks display will conclude the four-days of racing and entertainment at Sebring International Raceway.

Gates open for the 52nd Annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring on Wednesday, March 17, and remain open 24 hours a day through Saturday.
