J3 Racing Taking Momentum to Infineon

Flowery Branch, Georgia - J3 Racing will be taking the momentum of a strong run at Lime Rock Park into round four of the American Le Mans Series to be run at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California on July 18.

After leading more than 200 miles of the GT race at Lime Rock, J3 Racing is preparing for a good run at the famed track in California wine country. Drivers Justin Jackson and Tim Sugden have moved up to eighth in the competitive ALMS GT driver standings with 22.

"In 2002 we finished fourth and last year we were sixth, so we have run good at Infineon," said Justin Jackson. "I like the track, I especially enjoy the carrousel coming onto the drag strip, when you get a good line it is a real rush. The Porsche, when setup right, is particularly good down into turn 12, it is great under braking and gets the power down great at the exit."

Tim Sugden is spending the weekend at the F1 race at Silverstone. "I have reviewed the Motec data and watched the film when Peter Fonda was there, so I have mixed the two perspectives. I am looking forward to learning another new circuit. We have some new bits for the Porsche so the team is committed to improving the car. We had a good race at Lime Rock so I am excited for the next one."

Round four of the American Le Mans Series will be July 18 and televised on CBS starting at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
